FESTIVE ENTERTAINING AT HOME ALL YEAR LONG!

December 17, 2021

Take your cue from the welcoming tables and decor during the holidays and spread the cheer throughout the year ~ 🎉🎉

Why is it that during the holidays we create beautiful tablescapes and home decor with gusto, inside and outside...but forget creating this kind of beauty the rest of the year?  How awesome would it be if we added those little added touches of elegance or fun for special occasions, dinner with friends or "just because" it's a Saturday?!!!

I've noticed 4 key areas where we can inject a bit of beauty on a regular basis each day, week or month of our lives...

  • Seasonal elements such as flowers from the store or the rose bush in our backyard, greenery such as pine trees or junipers, blooming tree or shrub branches and different types of dried pods, pinecones and fruit.
  • Lighting whether it's a group of candles, votives, antique candle sticks, a string of fairy lights or even a camping lantern (how fun would that be for a weekend family dinner?!)
  • Fabrics which or store bought or handmade - napkins, table runners, placemats, handmade bows for the back of each chair. Mix them up with different textures, patterns and colors to create your own unique festive ambience.
  • Accessories such as figurines, glass or natural balls, driftwood, collectible bowls for serving, platters, serving trays and various shapes and sizes of stands to display food.  Baskets are another great accessory lending themselves to an artful and quirky presentation or decoration.

I hope you find a little inspiration in the following photos so you may incorporate a little festivity into your daily living!  Enjoy! 🎉💃🏻
