The many flavors of Fall are all around us ~
I love this time of year when the air is crisp, leaves are turning beautiful shades of orange, yellow and red…and we’re able to light a fire in the fireplace! Mother Nature’s colors deepen, reminding us how our life is slowing down for the restorative winter ahead. The rich hues of harvest are reflected in various purples, burgundy, stormy blues, earthy neutrals and vibrant oranges! They invite you to slow down, read a book or cook a delicious soup!
Don’t get me wrong… I love the bright and inviting colors of Spring and Summer…but there’s something about the warmth of Fall colors that are comforting to the soul. In my own home I’m looking to replace my white bedding and colorful pillows with something that will be more soothing in the coming months. I feel a bit like a bear readying for hibernation 😴.
As I searched through hundreds of photos… I found so many ideas I’d love to incorporate in my own home! Take a look and see if you do too!

For the longest time, I wasn’t a fan of orange, but when used as an accent I find it very stimulating. In “color psychology” it is said that orange is uplifting, optimistic and rejuvenates our spirit. Here, here…I agree! Photo: Maura McEvoy – Jonathan Adler
